The field for the Knockout Stage of the 2021 Lower League eCup Presented by Offside Marketing is set! Play commences on Thursday, February 4th, and the full bracket will be announced later today, Tuesday, February 2nd.
In the PlayStation Premier Division, the top 32 players qualified for the knockout stage. This includes the top two finishers from each of the twelve groups, as well as the top eight third-place finishers.
In the Xbox Premier Division, the top 24 players qualified for the knockout stage. Similar to the PlayStation Premier Division, the top two finishers from each of the nine groups, as well as the top six third-place finishers have advanced to a 24 team knockout stage. Eight of the nine group winners have received a bye to the second round, as determined by the tournament tie-breaking procedure.
In the SmallWorld Second Divisions (Xbox & PlayStation), the top eight players qualified for the knockout stage. Advancement was limited to the top two finishers from each of the four groups in each division, with no third-place teams eligible for advancement.
All eight players in the PC Division have advanced to the knockout stage. An innovative format is inclusive of all eight teams, while still providing top group-stage performers with a competitive advantage. Group winners will receive a double bye through to the semifinals, second-place finishers receive a first-round bye to the Quarterfinals, while third and fourth place finishers will compete in a play-in round for the final two spots in the Quarterfinals.
