by Joe Meyer

The Lower League eCup will return for 2022 and commence on Tuesday, January 11th. The tournament will take place over five weeks, culminating in Championship Week, which will be held from February 14th-17th.

For the first time in eCup history, Champions will be crowned across four different platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Rocket League). Rocket League will make its debut at the 2022 eCup. Exact details on tournament format will be announced after registration closes.

“We're looking forward to an exciting and engaging eCup in 2022,” stated eCup President Joe Meyer. “We’re also excited to offer a Rocket League Division for the first time in the tournament’s history. Over the past two years, various clubs, organizations, and supporters have indicated an interest in a Rocket League division and we feel that we are prepared to handle a fourth platform of competition.” Meyer continued.

Registration for the 2022 eCup will begin on Monday, November 15th. Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and close no later than December 15th. Details regarding consoles of competition (ex. PS4 and/or PS5 for the PlayStation Division) will be determined at a later date after consultation with registered participants.
