Dates, Times Set for Premier Division Quarterfinals

by Joe Meyer

From forty-six down to eight. The Premier Division Quarterfinals are set.

The Premier Division Quarterfinals will run through March 20 - 22, with four matches over three nights. Three of the four will be first-time matchups, with only the fourth and final quarterfinal featuring two entrants that have previously played each other in either the 2023 eCup or a previous tournament.

The round begins on Monday, March 20 as Providence City FC’s Chris Moura, a two-time eCup runner-up, continues his quest for a fourth consecutive Final Four berth against The City of Ohio’s Jarod Chavez.

The action continues with a doubleheader on the evening of Tuesday, March 21, beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET with a matchup between Duluth FC’s Yossef Elsawy, the defending champion and tournament favorite, and Space United FC’s Mark Morales, who comes into the match with a 5-0- record. Lane United FC’s Daniel Lopez and the Crocketteers’ Regan Allen Jr. go head-to-head in the nightcap, set to kick off at 9:15 p.m. ET.

The fourth and final berth in the semifinals will be decided on Wednesday, March 22, when Forward Madison FC’s Evan Warwick takes on the Greenville Triumph’s Gio Cañas at 9:00 p.m. ET. The Madison-Greenville matchup is a rematch of both players' group stage opener, in which Madison finished the match with five unanswered goals en route to a 5-2 victory.

The winners of the four quarterfinals will advance to semifinals, set to be played on Monday, March 27, or Tuesday, March 28. The final is tentatively set for Thursday, March 30.
